Description
Fluorescein dye is the most commonly used fluorescent probe. It is used to stain epithelial defects and analyse the integrity of corneal epithelium. Fluorescein is used in the diagnosis of corneal perforation. Oral or intravenous fluorescein is used in fluorescein angiography to detect diabetic retinopathy and choroidal neovascular membrane.
Application
in the permeability assay of Caco-2 cells
to test its suitability to serve as lifetime fluorescence standards
as a fluorophore for the fast recovery of fluorescence peaks and fluorophore concentration in the presence of hemoglobin
as a fluorescent probe in oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) assay

توضیحات
رنگ فلورسئین رایج‌ترین پروب فلورسنت مورد استفاده است. از آن برای رنگ‌آمیزی نقص‌های اپیتلیال و تجزیه و تحلیل یکپارچگی اپیتلیوم قرنیه استفاده می‌شود. فلورسئین در تشخیص سوراخ شدن قرنیه کاربرد دارد. فلورسئین خوراکی یا تزریق وریدی در آنژیوگرافی فلورسئین برای تشخیص رتینوپاتی دیابتی و غشای نئوواسکولار کوروئید استفاده می‌شود.
کاربرد
- در سنجش نفوذپذیری سلول‌های Caco-2
- برای آزمایش مناسب بودن آن به عنوان استانداردهای فلورسانس طول عمر
- به عنوان یک فلوروفور برای بازیابی سریع پیک های فلورسانس و غلظت فلوروفور در حضور هموگلوبین
- به عنوان یک کاوشگر فلورسنت در سنجش ظرفیت جذب رادیکال‌های اکسیژن (ORAC)
