کاربرد

نمک اگزالات مالاشیت گرین برای موارد زیر استفاده شده است:

• سنجش کمی فسفات.

• در تهیه محلول رنگ‌آمیزی الکساندر برای آزمایش زیست‌پذیری سلول

• در سنجش مالاشیت گرین-آمونیوم مولیبدات برای تعیین فعالیت آدنوزین تری فسفاتاز (ATPase) پروتئین متصل شونده به ایمونوگلوبولین (BiP).

• به عنوان یک یون آبگریز، برای مطالعه انتقال مولکولی بدون برچسب در غشاهای سلول‌های زنده اشریشیا کلی در زمان واقعی با روش تولید هارمونیک دوم (SHG).
