Description
Rose Bengal is a red or rose color dye and is anionic in nature. It is a 4,5,6,7-tetrachloro 2′,4′,5′,7′-tetraiodo derivative of fluorescein. It is widely used to detect damage to the ocular surface epithelium in ocular surface diseases such as dry eye and herpetic keratitis. Rose Bengal has mild antiviral potency.
Rose Bengal is used to stain dead and degenerating cells and mucus.
Application
Rose Bengal has been used to evaluate acrosome integrity. It has also been used to initiate photothrombotic occlusion in blood.

رزبنگال یک رنگ قرمز یا صورتی رنگ است و ماهیت آنیونی دارد. این رنگ مشتقی از فلورسین با فرمول ۴،۵،۶،۷-تتراکلرو ۲′،۴′،۵′،۷′-تترایدو است. این رنگ به طور گسترده برای تشخیص آسیب به اپیتلیوم سطح چشم در بیماری‌های سطح چشم مانند خشکی چشم و کراتیت هرپسی استفاده می‌شود. رزبنگال قدرت ضد ویروسی خفیفی دارد. رزبنگال برای رنگ‌آمیزی سلول‌های مرده و در حال تخریب و مخاط استفاده می‌شود.
کاربرد
از رز بنگال برای ارزیابی سلامت آکروزوم استفاده شده است. همچنین برای شروع انسداد فتوترومبوتیک در خون نیز کاربرد دارد.
