Application

L-Arginine monohydrochloride has been used to study the effects of amino acids in promoting food consumption in Drosophila melanogaster. It has also been used to develop a non-invasive chronic pancreatitis model of rat.

Biochem/physiol Actions

L-Arginine is a semi-essential amino acid. This dibasic amino acid acts as a precursor for creatinine and is a natural constituent of most of the dietary proteins.
Substrate of nitric oxide synthase, which is converted to citrulline and nitric oxide (NO). Induces insulin release by a nitric oxide-dependent mechanism.

کاربرد

از ال-آرژنین مونوهیدروکلراید برای مطالعه اثرات اسیدهای آمینه در افزایش مصرف غذا در مگس سرکه (Drosophila melanogaster) استفاده شده است. همچنین از آن برای ایجاد یک مدل غیرتهاجمی پانکراتیت مزمن در موش صحرایی استفاده شده است.

کنش های بیوشیمی/فیزیولوژیکی

ال-آرژنین یک اسید آمینه نیمه ضروری است. این اسید آمینه دی بازیک پیش ساز کراتینین است و یک جزء طبیعی در بیشتر پروتئین های غذایی است.
سوبسترای آنزیم نیتریک اکسید سنتاز است که به سیترولین و نیتریک اکسید (NO) تبدیل می شود. از طریق یک مکانیسم وابسته به نیتریک اکسید، باعث آزادسازی انسولین می شود.
