Description
Tuerk′s solution - for leukocytes counting, is a ready-to-use solution used for human-medical cell diagnosis and serves the purpose of the hematological investigation of sample material of human origin in hematological specimen materials. The solution serves the purpose of the manual semiquantitative determination of leukocytes in fresh venous, anticoagulated whole blood using a counting chamber.
The basis of all counting methods is the dilution and preparation of a blood sample of known volume. The erythrocytes are hemolyzed by the acetic acid present in Tuerk′s solution and the leukocyte nuclei are stained blue-violet by the dye. The required cell type in a defined volume is counted and the number of cells per microliter of blood is then calculated.

محلول Tuerk's که برای شمارش گلبول‌های سفید (لکوسیت‌ها) استفاده می‌شود، یک محلول آماده برای استفاده در تشخیص‌های پزشکی انسانی است و هدف آن بررسی‌های هماتولوژیک نمونه‌های انسانی است. این محلول برای تعیین دستی و نیمه‌کمی (semiaquantitive) لکوسیت‌ها در نمونه‌های خون کامل وریدی تازه و ضدانعقادشده، با استفاده از یک لام شمارش سلولی (counting chamber) کاربرد دارد.
اساس تمام روش‌های شمارش، رقیق‌سازی و آماده‌سازی نمونه‌ای از خون با حجم مشخص است. در این محلول، استیک اسید موجود باعث همولیز (تخریب) گلبول‌های قرمز (اریتروسیت‌ها) می‌شود و هسته‌های لکوسیت‌ها توسط رنگ موجود، به رنگ آبی-بنفش رنگ‌آمیزی می‌شوند. سپس، تعداد گلبول‌های سفید در یک حجم مشخص شمارش می‌شود و در نهایت تعداد سلول‌ها در هر میکرولیتر خون محاسبه می‌گردد.
