Description
Sodium hydrosulfite (Sodium dithionite, Sodium hypodisulfite, Na2S2O4) is a white crystalline sodium salt. It decomposes in the presence of atmospheric oxygen to afford sodium hydrogen sulfate. It has been prepared by reducing sodium hydrogen sulfite in sulfurous acid solution with zinc.It is widely used for the decolorization prior to dyeing of cloths in the textile industry.
Application
Sodium hydrosulfite may be employed as a reducing agent for the reduction of graphite oxide in a study.Sodium hydrosulfite has been used as a fluorescent quenching agent in the encapsulation of polynucleotides via production of asymmetric nanoparticles. It has also be used in the form of buffer for the elution of probe labelled proteins involved in the indentification of cellular targets of covalent kinase inhibitors via mass spectrometry method (MS).

سدیم هیدروسولفیت (سدیم دی‌تیونیت، سدیم هیپودیسولفیت، Na2S2O4) یک نمک سدیم کریستالی سفید است. این ماده در حضور اکسیژن اتمسفر تجزیه شده و سدیم هیدروژن سولفات تولید می‌کند. این ماده از طریق کاهش سدیم هیدروژن سولفیت در محلول اسید سولفورو با روی تهیه شده است. به طور گسترده‌ای برای رنگ‌زدایی قبل از رنگرزی پارچه‌ها در صنعت نساجی استفاده می‌شود.
کاربرد
هیدروسولفیت سدیم ممکن است به عنوان یک عامل کاهنده برای کاهش اکسید گرافیت در یک مطالعه استفاده شود. هیدروسولفیت سدیم به عنوان یک عامل خاموش کننده فلورسنت در کپسوله کردن پلی نوکلئوتیدها از طریق تولید نانوذرات نامتقارن استفاده شده است. همچنین به شکل بافر برای شستشوی پروتئین‌های نشاندار شده با پروب که در شناسایی اهداف سلولی مهارکننده‌های کووالانسی کیناز از طریق روش طیف‌سنجی جرمی (MS) نقش دارند، استفاده شده است.
