For the oxidation of glucose to gluconic acid in water

کاربرد

کلرید آهن (III) (FeCl3) می‌تواند به عنوان کاتالیزور استفاده شود:

• اکسیداسیون گلوکز به گلوکونیک اسید در آب

• سنتز 2-یدو جایگزین شده بنزو[b]تیوفن‌ها با ید حلقه‌زایی 2-آلکینیل تیوانیزول‌ها در حضور سدیم یدید و اتانول به عنوان حلال

• گلیکوزیلاسیون قندها در حضور الکل‌های آلیل و آلکینیل برای سنتز گلیکوزیدهای مربوطه

• تهیه 1,2-ترانس گلیکوزیل آزیدها با آزیدو گلیکوزیلاسیون β-پراستات‌های گلیکوزیل
